Founded by a plant scientist
Baba Ramdev (BRD) International began with Mr. Manish Bhandari — a plant scientist whose work in Botany and Plant Science turned the chemistry of natural hydrocolloids into a manufacturing business. Since 2003, that scientific grounding has shaped every blend of stabilizers and emulsifiers we make for the dairy, ice cream and food industries.
Our Mission
The company was founded to research natural hydrocolloids and agricultural produce, then make their useful properties available across the food industry. Two aims guide the work: easing production for the manufacturers we serve, and improving the quality of the end products they make.

The Beginning
BRD Intl is founded with a simple conviction: excellent ingredients make excellent products. Trading begins with a focused range of hydrocolloids for local food manufacturers.
- 2004–2006
Building Foundations
We establish quality-first sourcing relationships and add emulsifiers and acidulants to the catalogue, earning repeat business from sauce, beverage and bakery producers.
- 2007–2009
National Expansion
A growing distribution network carries BRD ingredients across India, with dedicated technical support helping customers stabilise and scale new formulations.
- 2010–2012
Going Global
Exports begin in earnest. Guar gum, xanthan gum and CMC grades reach manufacturers across Asia and the Middle East, all held to the same tight specifications.

Entering the USA Market
BRD Intl enters North America, meeting rigorous documentation and food-safety standards to supply cocoa, dairy and stabiliser systems to US food brands.

Ten years in, our carrageenan and pectin systems power dairy desserts, jellies and chocolate milk worldwide — proof that reliable supply builds lifelong relationships.
